PM Karki Directs Nepali Army to Ensure Secure and Fair Election on Falgun 21

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has instructed the Nepali Army to ensure its effective role in the successful conduct of the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
During an inspection of the Nepali Army Headquarters (Combat Post) in Bhadrakali, the Prime Minister underscored the army’s responsibility in helping create a free, fair and fearless electoral environment. She directed the army to move ahead with a clear action plan to guarantee public security, support police operations, and facilitate an atmosphere where all political parties can carry out their activities without obstruction.
Highlighting the sensitivity of election security, Prime Minister Karki stressed the need for seamless coordination among all security agencies. She instructed that measures be taken to prevent any incident that could lead to the loss of life or injury during the election.
The Prime Minister also directed the army to assist police efforts in recovering weapons looted or lost during the Genji movement and to support operations to apprehend absconding criminals. During the visit, army officials briefed her on election security preparations, the current security scenario, and upcoming plans.
